Abstract:Hyperglycemia and dysregulation of lipid metabolism play a crucial role in metabolic dysfunction. The aims of present study were to evaluate the ameliorative effect of the ethyl acetate fraction of Chinese olive fruit extract (CO-EtOAc) on high-fat diet (HFD) and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. CO-EtOAc, rich in gallic acid and ellagic acid, could markedly decreased the body weight and epididymal adipose mass. In addition, CO-EtOAc increased serum HDL-C levels, hepatic GSH levels, and antioxidant enzyme activities; lowered blood glucose, serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), bile acid, and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα); and reduced TC and TG in liver. We further demonstrated that CO-EtOAc mildly suppressed hepatic levels of phosphorylated IRS-1, TNF-α, and IL-6, but enhanced Akt phosphorylation. The possible mechanisms of cholesterol metabolism were assessed by determining the expression of genes involved in cholesterol transportation, biosynthesis, and degradation. It was found that CO-EtOAc not only inhibited mRNA levels of SREBP-2, HMG-CoAR, SR-B1, and CYP7A1 but also increased the expression of genes, such as ABCA1 and LDLR that governed cholesterol efflux and cholesterol uptake. Moreover, the protein expressions of ABCA1 and LDLR were also significantly increased in the liver of rats supplemented with CO-EtOAc. I'm looking for a regular expression that would match anything that could be a valid RFC1123 hostname in a string that can contain anything. The idea is to extract everything that could possibly be a hostname (by checking that the substring follows all requirements to be one) - except for the maximum length of 255 characters, which is easy to check on the results afterwards.

Sandy everlasting [Helichrysum arenarium (L.) Moench] is herbaceous perennial plant belonging to Asteraceae family and it is native to Europe, Central Asia, and China. It belongs to the section HELICHRYSUM (Asteraceae family, genus Helichrysum) along with H. plicatum DC. Prodr., which very similar phenolic profile and H. italicum (Roth), which is widely used for essential oil extraction. Its flowers have a long tradition in European ethnomedicine as a cholagogue, choleretic, hepatoprotective, and detoxifying herbal drug. The flowers are rich in phenolic compounds including flavonoids, chalcones, phenolic acids, coumarins, and pyrones. Apart from polyphenols, other compounds such as sterols, lignans, and glycosides of aromatic compounds have been also isolated from H. arenarium. The majority of authors confirm that the most important group of compounds responsible for biological activities is flavonoids. Moreover, significant activities of naringenin, one of the main flavonoids of H. arenarium, were reported. On the other hand, there are no clinical data about testing the extracts or preparations based on H. arenarium. Although H. arenarium is well known in phytotherapy for its potential in the treatment of gallbladder disease and are classified as endangered species in a number of European countries, very few data about its cultivation are available in the literature.

Multichannel atomic spectra frequently exhibit such extraordinary visual complexity that they appear at first glance to be uninterpretable. The present review discusses how to unravel such spectra through the use of theoretical multichannel spectroscopy to extract the key dynamical implications. Moreover, this class of techniques permits a quantitative prediction or reproduction of experimental spectra for some of the more challenging atomic systems under investigation. It is shown that multichannel spectroscopy marries the techniques of multichannel quantum-defect theory to the eigenchannel R-matrix method (or related methods). It has long been appreciated that multichannel quantum-defect theory can successfully use a collision-theory framework to interpret enormously complicated Rydberg spectra. However, the capabilities of multichannel quantum-defect theory have increased dramatically during the past decade, through the development of nearly ab initio methods for the calculation of the short-range scattering parameters that control the interactions of closed and open channels. In this review, emphasis is given to the alkaline-earth atoms, for which many different observables have been successfully compared with experiment over broad ranges of energy and resolution.
