During his 18 years of corporate career, Janakiram worked at world-class product companies including Microsoft Corporation, Amazon Web Services and Alcatel-Lucent. His last role was with AWS as the technology evangelist where he joined them as the first employee in India. Prior to that, Janakiram spent over 10 years at Microsoft Corporation where he was involved in selling, marketing and evangelizing the Microsoft application platform and tools. At the time of leaving Microsoft, he was the cloud architect focused on Azure.
Lenovo unveiled what it dubs the world's first foldable PC at CES 2020. Indeed, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is a foldable Windows 10 device, but perhaps, more importantly, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is a durable foldable device, fit for the ThinkPad branding.
Lenovo and Qualcomm announced the Yoga 5G laptop at CES 2020, which is the first 5G-enabled laptop to be released. The Yoga 5G combines Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx chipset with a custom antenna array developed by Lenovo. The laptop has been announced of $1,500, which is a little over Rs 100,000. The Yoga 5G will be available in Spring 2020 in the US.
While not as radical an improvement as MicroLED technology, mini-LED is a definite step up from the current LED implementation, as tinier LEDs can be crammed into the display backlighting to improve viewing brightness and contrast. As you might guess, mini-LEDs are making their first mark into the HDTV world, with TCL recently releasing the first sets using the technology. But the mobile computing market isn't far behind, based on the latest announcement from manufacturer MSI.
In advance of CES 2020, the company is introducing a new version of its Creator 17 laptop that will be the first to use mini-LED technology for its screen. MSI claims that the display will feature a brightness of 1,000 nits, far superior to even the brightest consumer laptops if its claims come to fruition. It will also provide 240 zones of local dimming, which allows for better contrast with whiter white and darker black levels.
Laptops are generally one of the first things that come to mind when you think of Razer, but at CES 2020 the brand focused its attention on its gaming desktop, a new mobile controller, and a 5G concept device.
